This week, Renfe launched a notification system for train customers with seat reservations via WhatsApp and the Renfe app’s Push notifications. In this first phase, passengers will receive scheduled changes to the services they have purchased through these two new channels.
With this addition, information for travelers continues to improve, as they already have direct communication via email and SMS.
In the case of Push, the notification will be sent to customers who have the Renfe app, and in the case of WhatsApp, it will be sent to those customers who have given their consent in the purchase flow or through their private area.
The push notification system is linked to mobile apps. With this method, the user will receive the message via a pop-up window on their phone’s home screen.
